Kids ticket for Croke Park

Quick question would I have to buy a ticket for a 3 year old to go to Tipp v Galway game in Croke Park? It is my first time bringing him to a ticketed match. I have email Croke Park but I'd say I could be waiting for an answer. Someone told me that if he sits on my lap there is no need for a ticket but if he sits in a seat I would have to buy one.

Everyone needs a ticket to enter Croke Park, even kids that can sit on your knee.

Yeah made that mistake at the Ladies All Ireland last year .. in fairness they got a senior steward who made an "exception" and squirreled us in down at the far end 310-312 ticket section. It was probably on the basis that the other 6 of us had tickets, but I wouldn't chance it ..

if your club is heading as a group, then its a tenner for adults and €3 for kids but thats a bulk buy through the club
