Only on about 3 months. Back tyre is fine. What's the problem do you think? Thanks.

Weird picture. I am seeing a buckled wheel but the tyre looks OK?

Are you sure the tire is sitting corrected on the rim?

I've already lost a few euros on the tyre:
Wheel isn't buckled and is sitting fine on the rim. But there seems to be an uneven surface on the inside where this is happening on the tyre.

I've had that happen to me a couple of times, with Schwalbe Ultremo tyres.
I don't know what caused it, but tyres were f**ked.

I've seen something like that once and that was when a tyre exploded when being pumped, after "leaking" out of the side of the rim. It messed up the non -foldable tyre/wire.

Not sure there is a reasonable explanation for yours though. Bar it looks really, really, fupped!

    Surely that's a manufacturing defect.

Get on to schwalbe it may be a known issue. If you use twitter you'll usually get a faster response if tagged with continental ;)

Thanks folks. I bought the tyre through Amazon and they're offering a full refund. I got it exactly 4 months ago and have approximately 1500-1700 km on it. I hope the other lasts longer! What mileage should I expect to get? They're schwalbe lugano active line, k-guard?

It seems that casing has somehow split internally. Weird, but seen this somewhere else too.

    Good news with the refund.

I'm on GP4000S (28mm) and after 2500km there is only minimal wear on the back. They're very fast too and have tons of grip. 32euro in hibike.de

I used to run those and I was getting roughly 2000-2500kms from the rear tyre before it was worn flat. Rotating then regularly between front and rear should probably extend their life to roughly 4k km's.

Worried about this nick in the side of my front tyre, is it done for? Looks like there could be a bubble around the effected area

The inner thread does not seem to be cut, there is no bulge - tis but a scratch ;-)

I cycled last 1500km with something like this on the front tyre. Your luck may be different though, don't blame me if it explodes ;)

Put a patch on the inside of the tyre just to give a little added protection in that area and stick the tyre on the rear.

I'll swap them around so and put a patch on the inside. Should I put some black witch on the outside? I've read that that helps.

Only about 1000km on the set. Last thing I want is it blowing in a race though and I have 2 this month.
