I currently have a 2000 VW Golf and looking to upgrade to a 2008 upwards Golf of the same engine size 1.9. I'm just wondering will my insurance rise or fall? I'm 21 years old if that makes any difference.

Honestly, the only ones who can tell you that is your current insurer. There are too many random factors to take into account for anyone here to know.

If youre getting fully comp a newer car will probably be more expensive to insure.

I would think it would be more but could be something small like €50 extra.
