you know the way it is , you are forced to stop cycling for 6 weeks through life events/responsibilities . you get the chance to cycle again having found some free days. So I threw myself at it . 110 km first day.. lots of hills Kilmacanock, Laragh sally gap and home .Second day ... 100 round north Dublin.. Result ...day four ... knee in pain. I overdid it. Idiot....
but I am where I am oh its not cleat set up or saddle height etc..

So what do I do now ? can I do light cycling ? exercises ? or just stop . If so for how long? this is the window for touring in my year ? Any advice would be great.
    Thanks

I prescribe lots of leg presses with very heavy weights. Bound to fix it.

Had this issue about 8-10 weeks back, once the weather picked up a bit i done a lot more mileage than normal for about 12 days with maybe 3 days off in between and i overdone it, very painful right knee on inside, after doing some reaearch it seems to be a common issue with cyclists over doing it.
As suggested i took a week off with one small slow 20k high cadence spin in that week and it sorted it out.
Have done 4-5 100k+ spins since and no issues since.
Give yourself a week complete rest and see how it feels then, you wont lose much if any fitness gained.

Sorry, but the only medical advice we can offer you is to seek attention from a medical professional, we are in no position to adequately judge your well-being, and our rules forbid any further advice than that.
