No Comp: H/C cut???

My friend and myself played at our local club today and we both went around in +4.
He plays off 12, and scored 44 and i play off 8 so scored 40. Our weekend comp was a 3 man team event, so because we hadn't a third person, we played a practice round but observed all rules, eg all balls putted etc.
When we got to the clubhouse we got asked how we played. We were then told we should be handing in them score cards cause of the high scores.

I thought we were being fooled but we obliged anyhow.
If we were to hand in our cards, what kind of cuts would we get?

Apologies if this is a silly question!!!:rolleyes::):)

Unlikely to be cut for the cards themselves as its a 3-person team event. there'd be no standard scratch, but they would be kept aside for a general play reduction at year end if it were warranted

You won't get any cut, cards will just be taken in to account at the end of year review, on their own they won't make much difference.

You can't be cut for a practice round, I think someone was pulling your leg!

If he entered his scores on the non qualifying sheet, if he had 44 points in a society, if he had 44 points and got dq for not signing his card in a competition he should get a notable performance.

DQ is a strange one. You get the full cut automatically for a DQ. Oddly if you get dq'd for recording a lower score at a hole you get cut on the lower number even though you didn't shoot it.

He didn't enter a competition of any sort, society or other. He said he practiced, so I don't get your point?
