    no, in my experience

    just take it handy

    and make sure you are going anti clockwise ( ie to the left as you face the bolt head ) to loosen

    If you can, it's well worth giving them a good few blasts with a penetrating/releasing oil, like wd40 and leave it to sit overnight. Sometimes a tiny little turn clockwise (as if tightening) first, helps also.

    I've often removed calipers and always find them to be tight, but the above approach has always worked.

    Get one thing exactly right-the bit or socket size. I assume it's the caliper carrier bolts, these are commonly torqued to 120Nm. You'd be very very unfortunate to have one snap. Get plenty of leverage and go for it.
