I can't post a link to this but I noticed this earlier at my local peugeot garage.
Every 4th service is free as part of the Peugeot service club. It applies to any make of car, not necessarily Peugeot.

I've been using this since I got my peugot a few years ago. They get you on the cost of the service. My most recent one was nearly 350 albeit new wipers, filters, oil and a few bulbs. the value of the free service is €139.

Was never happy with my experiences with peugout garages. I've been to just two different ones but found they were more about selling you things you didn't even need rather than doing what they were asked to do

I've never noticed that in the garage I go to but I guess it probably varies from garage to garage.

been in my peugeot dealership for the last 7 years, i did it once and tried to work it so i got my full service free
nah they just deduct 130 ish of the total bill
never again, they are too expensive and keep the car all day
they also told me my front brake pads and discs were gone, (2 1/2 year old car )the price was more than i had on me so i left it till a week later, i couldnt get the the same dealer to get the work done so i went to a vw place near me, discs and pads were fine

I bought mine new, and 11 months later, just before Christmas, I rang up asking the correct oil to buy to put in the car. Didn't want to chance putting the wrong one in. They wouldn't tell me over the phone, told me to bring my car in. Brought it in, he checks the computer and tells me it's due a service and that a new car is an investment and I should be looking after it and I had it wrecked etc, I said okay I'll book it in for a service - after Christmas - and he was like no it needs it now, we have space today. So they did the service, cost me over 300 euro (turns out first service should have been free when we bought the car that's what they told us) and that was me pretty much wiped out coming up to Xmas.

Had an issue with the wipers shortly after and went back and they were trying to tell me x y z needed to be done, and after that I never stood in the place again.

Jesus guys, seriously. You need(ed) your heads examined.

People assume that seemingly professional main dealers aren't out to scam them.

By default we assume the best of each other.

Cold experience will teach us otherwise.

The poster above was done like a kipper, but lesson learned.

Ah I know but its handy, they collect and return the car washed and valeted and the usual price is less than 200. I wanted to be using a main dealer when it was under warranty. I'll shop around from now on though.

What Peugeot dealers were these? I've had some bad experiences with the one in Drogheda and wouldn't go near the place again as a result.

I've since bought a new Peugeot but from a different dealer so the carry on of their service department has cost them a new car sale and possibly another couple in the future.

Here's an actual car service BA: http://www.dealrush.ie/deal/10573-506605/
Wasn't gonna post it, but it seems a lot better than the BA posted by OP.

says full service but doesnt include fuel filter, isnt that part of a full service ?

As said, wasn't originally gonna post it, however I think I you ask -and pay- to have the fuel filter replaced it's still a much better deal than the Peugeot one.
Usually with these deals they only top up the fluids and replace no filters, this one at least includes full oil change and air+oil filter so doesn't look too bad for €79.

The term "full service" is a nonsense term. If someone goes to a mechanic and asks for a service, that should include whatever is due on the car as per the service schedule.

But for most a service is an oil change, new oil filter and new air filter. That's it. So I would not be shocked to see no fuel filter included in a sub 100 quid service deal.

The question to ask, is what spec of oil is being used, just to be sure that it meets the spec needed for your car.

Actually used the dealrush/mechanic on duty deal today. Seemed pretty good. It's serviced while you wait -if you want- and it took about 1.5hrs.
They didn't try to add anything that didn't need to be done, just mentioned 2 items that require attention in the future. It's not like they couldn't have, wipers haven't been replaced for some time and spark plugs needed to be done according to service book, but they were replaced last year without being noted in service history. The mechanic asked me after if they were replaced recently as they looked new.
Happy enough with their service. Oil used is Shell Helix, I assume they check what type the car needs.
Should have started a separate thread...
