    Hi all,

Apologies if this is not the correct forum.

I will soon be selling selling my property back home in Australia and will be looking to bring a considerable sum of money into my Irish bank account from the proceeds (~300K EUR) so that I can purchase a property here in Ireland. Ive heard that there are 3rd party providers that are more cost effective than the banks but I'm a bit clueless to be honest.

Anyone with experience or advice on the best way to proceed?

    Thanks

Use Currency Fair regularly and find they have the best rates on offer. There are others also
Have use CF up to €50K
For that amount personally i would do it in a few moves no reason other than i am cautious no matter who u use

Whatever yo do do not use Banks they will only screw you on the FX rate

Best of luck and definitely sell that Aussie property now would not like to be holding Aus property in the next couple of years and wanting to sell.............

Looking to transfer from a sterling a/c to euros and will be avoiding my bank for lack of value. Has anyone used a company called Moneycorp to transfer funds from sterling to euros and if so how did you find them?

Has anyone tried XE currency exchange or can anyone recommend a better way to transfer funds from Ireland (Euro) to UK (Sterling)? Any advice appreciated.
