Anyone know what they are doing in the field on the port road (not marlton hall, the opposite side of the road)?

Could be a new primary school or housing development if it's near the junction with Rockey Rd

Educate together are moving up there. 38 week build schedule.
Planning is also being sought for houses behind the school.

Really, lots of schools up this end now so. Roads will be busy.

The town relief road can handle the traffic, its just the roads leading up to it, the junction just up (beehive direction)from the marlton road roundabout will be hectic.
So will the roundabout at the tennis club.

A lot of people seem to think that roundabout at the Tennis Club is imaginary. Nearly got ploughed out if it there yesterday.

Very strange carry on from the locals in regards roundabouts. Either everyone stops at them and look at each other or some people just ignore them and fly through.

Any way, off topic. The amount of potential for development along the relief road is huge. Would love to see more projects other than housing going in.

I heard that Aldi is interested in the site right beside the entrance to the Marlton Estates.
The owner of the land around Marlton is is set on developing the area

That'd be amazing, sick of driving to Arklow or Greystones for our shopping! Here's hoping :)

The planning for the houses across the road from Marlton hall are for pretty big 4 and 5 bed houses, some are 3 story houses. They look to be clearing the site right now for drainage etc before they get planning permission.

That land is being cleared for the school

There's a small parcel of land behind the school in which the owner is attempting to get planning for 35

I can't see planning being granted for another few years
