    Hi all,

Looking at the new 2015 Mondeos. The 2ltrs 150bhp have grabbed my attention.

Can anyone tell me what the motor tax is on these for a year? €290?

    Thanks

For the new mk5 it's 200 for the year. (Manual)

    2.0 Auto is 270

Sure nobody will buy that, it's too expensive to tax. :pac:

    Exactly

In all seriousness though, tax on new diesels is gone mad cheap, didn't think that it was that low until I went looking.

Emissions becoming cleaner with newer diesels.

    2.0 mk5 mondeo in the 111 - 120 band

    2.0 mk4 is in the 171 - 190 band

I cant see how the government haven't done something about this low co2, cheap tax "scandal"

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the old cc system came back into play!

Sure they are only giving it to Irish Water anyway.

And if they revert back they would miss out on a cart load of VRT as new car sales would take a dive.
