Bit of context here? No idea who's getting the racist abuse or who these people are.

Ireland has possibly the least racial tension in Europe, aside from maybe the tiny States. To paint Ireland as a country that is forever unable to stamp racism out is just wrong. Racism shouldn't ever be condoned but by and large it's not a problem here. All you have to do is get a ferry to the UK and you'll see a place suffering from serious racial tensions.

We've never had a Kriss Donald incident here, afaik we've had nothing close to it here.

Maybe a link to show us what you're talking about?

And then there was the person who said things about the other person.

I can't be arsed linking it, but it proves that Ireland is 100% racist.

Ireland is the second most tolerant country in the world, behind Iceland.

While we have more to do, we're far from the worst!

Were those comments made by Irish people?

The video has been viewed over 4 million times. It was picked up by international newspapers like The Huffington Post, which has over 5 million 'likes' on Facebook alone.

Notoriously racist websites like Stormfront, which is a global white supremacy network, have talked about the incident, as well as American video bloggers like Ramzpaul.

It seems unlikely that all of the comments to do with this incident are from Irish people.

What I've observed in my 13 years in Ireland, is that the Irish are well and truely racist. Not in your traditional sense.

They are more, out of the corner of your mouth racists. You know the type. I won't take a taxi with a blacky driving and so one. Of course you have your out and out racists, but they are normally the scanger types.

What are you on about? Come back when you're sober and try again.

Maybe you thought you were on facebook. Sorry, wrong number.

Of course there are racists in Ireland (like anywhere) but to claim Ireland is a racist society is just more self flagellating nonsense by people who are also Irish but are so enlightened and so much better.

    The irony of it all.

You've actually just called a complete race of people racist. Even though everyone knows not all Irish people are racist.

So it seems you're actually a racist yourself.

    Well done.
