Frampton didn't exactly cover himself in glory with this fight.

    But entertaining.

That Mexican is a superb boxer. Deffo belongs in the ring with the very best.

Not great from frampton, against a guy who never had a 12 rounder....

He never had a 12 round fight though, this should have been easier.

Wow that was a bigger win than I thought it'd be. 116-108 and 115-109

Very big points difference, a little surprising.

agreed. Probably best sticking to Quigg and the UK scene.

Good win by frampton in the end and a quality test.

He boxed well in fairness. It was a tough test for him and he did what was required.

BPL best league in the world... believe the hype...

Thought it would have been closer my self. Thought only for the points deduction, it was going to take a KO from Frampton fighting a local lad.

From the inteviews it would seem that weight issues caused him to bonk (the cycling definition, not the other one).

He should have ended it, yer man was fighting on empty in the last two rounds.

Id agree with that, but that guy was supposed to be a tomato can, nowhere near top class...

I thought the scores were v generous to Frampton, but he wins. Quigg fighting tonight?

Bit of an overreaction after a mere 1 fight? Andy Lee was floored in his first US fight and now he has a World Title. Frampton won what was a very tough fight aganst an unknown quantity and that will stand to him in the future. You have to test yourself against the best. And besides, thats where the money is at the end of the day.

Too short for Featherweight, I agree with Duke

When someone catches you the way he caught frampton in the first round you need to be a lot more dominant before you can be confident enough to go all out for the KO. It was a good boxing performance and let's him links he can take a knock and keep going.

Quigg Ko'ed Kiko in 2. Very impressive tonight.

I thought it was a fair score. Ya man has a ridiculous good chin. Carl learned the hard way he isn't invincible though. Bring on the fight with Quigg!

All of Andy's early fights were in the US, and Andy was very lucky to get a draw in his last fight, and without his KO he wouldn't have a belt.

This wasn't a test against the best, it was a standard Mexican fighter.

What would be the implications of moving to featherweight?

He would be incredibly short, shorter reach, and does he have the power???

Getting his ass handed to him by Lomachenko

Your a bit harsh there bud. He showed a lot of character to come back after those knock downs. That Mexican has hands of stone because Framptons chin is made of granite. Great heart shown by Carl tonight even if it wasnt his best performance.

Would rule out a Quigg fight, would it not?

I stand by what I said. if Frampton leaves his guard down he's easy pickings.

Quigg is his best option I reckon.
