Can anyone recommend a cheaper rum alternative, closest to Bacardi?

OP I've moved this to the Beers & Wines & Spirits forum, better suited here.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Bacardi is a very standard rum; so close to any other unflavoured white rum is a suitable substitute.

Tesco's own brand is surprising good and is ridiculously cheap - €11.69 currently to price match the Aldi stuff which isn't as good. This isn't even a Tesco Value. Due to the price matching the 70cl is vastly vastly cheaper than buying the 1L so don't assume bigger is better value.
