    Need some help !
Been looking this up online but seems to be a million ways to do this.
Has anyone gone to Vietnam from Ireland lately and if so how did you go about this ?
Also how much did it cost ?

Get a letter of approval online and then get a visa on arrival.

LOA is $17ish and the stamping fee for the visa is $45

We used these guys a few months ago. Process was quick with no issues. http://www.vietnamsvisa.com/

You won't be allowed to board flight to Vietnam without either the visa or visa on arrival pre approval letter.

Get visa on arrival online, get to Hanoi or Hoh Chi Minh, queue up and pay roughly $40 dollars cash (have exact amount). It doesn't take long. We don't have a Vietnamese embassy in Ireland so you'd have to post your passport to UK embassy otherwise and pay double.

You get a visa on arrival online then you need to get a different visa once you reach ho chi min city ?

You get the letter of approval online.
You give this to the immigration agent at the airport and pay the visa fee, and they'll hand you your visa.
Make sure you have the visa fee in dollars with you when you get there as there's no ATMs or currency exchange until after the immigration office.

The fee for the actual visa stamp, as of last week, is $25.
