I bought 2 sausage rolls in topaz recently and was shocked to be charged €5 for them.
I thought it was a mistake so when back into shop to check but at the deli on the blackboard was "gourmet sausage roll €2.50" i know it was my fault for not checking the price before i bought but it seems a major rip off!
The old price was 2 sausage rolls for €2 before the restore was rebranded.

when you say ''gourmet'' whats so special about them that they qualify as such? how big are they? just your average flaky puff pastry ones ? you can get five small ones for 2 euro at my local spar. sorry to hear you were ripped.

Is there anything in topaz that isn't a rip off?

They where the same size as before meidum size ones.
The only difference I could find was a few poppy seeds on top of them but made no difference to to flavour compared to the old ones

Got a litre of milk yesterday for 1.65. Could have home to tesco and gotten 2 litres and had change.
    It was my choice.

it €1.49 in tesco if i was in garage i would pay the extra 16c just for convenience of it.

But an increase of 1.50 per 1 sausage roll gourmet or not compared to a few weeks ago is a rip off

Going against the grain here but they do have alright offers on stuff (mainly snacks/drinks) from time to time...if you're careful about what you buy there and check the price, it's alright.

Bought 1 of these today thinking it was something special as it was advertised as "Handmade Irish Sausage Roll". It is probaly the worst I have ever eaten. The old ones 2 for €2 were delicious. The best sausage roll in my opinion is Mannings bakery on Thomas Street and Blanch Centre, and if I'm not mistaken 4 for €3.

Sine topaz got re branded I used to enjoy the occasional large caffeine kick coffee and a muffin for €3, they also made their coffee cups smaller and it's an extra €1 for the treat, so less coffee & €1 more expensive, haven't been back there, slyness

Only for my company using topaz fuel cards I would never go near them but once a week I have to use them. This means once a week I get my coffee there. This morning I noticed a sign saying brekkie roll and any coffee for a fiver.A 20z coffee on its own is a whopping 4.25 euro so I thought ill have the roll for 75 cents more .When I got to the deli counter the only thing that looked ok was the rashers so I just got rashers on it seriously the sausages looked half cooked and that horrible grainy white pudding. When I got to the till I was charged 8.25 and was told because I just got rashers it was a bacon roll and not a brekkie roll I mean come on anyway I left the roll with the muslim man behind the counter looking very uncomfortable holding this bacon roll everything is way overpriced in there a litre of water is more expensive than a litre of petrol.

Did you point out to the person at the deli that you wanted a breakfast roll with bacon only?

Air. But they'll start charging for it soon too.
