Whats your opinion on these plans for new and used cars , one i was looking at covers Guaranteed against price increases, they give you 10% discount on work, free puncture repair, etc

Its a Monthly direct debit is it a good idea ?

Are their costs for servicing competitive though when you take into account the monthly payment?
What happens if you miss a payment? Are you out and lose everything paid so far?
What happens if you have one bad experience and don't wish to use them but have spent a fortune in monthly payments?

I'd check the small print, they often won't cover normal wear and tear items like brake pads. Other big items like brake discs and timing belts are unlikely to be covered.

Depends on how much a usual service is vs how much you give them in a year. Also what will be included just fluids and filters or as per manufacturer recommendations, which can have some expensive work.

The rest rarely happens, now I'll have a bloody puncture. The other problem is if they go belly up you're an unsecured creditor so the money is gone.

typical small car is 14 euro a month

From time to time, prices may go up, but with serviceplan from Toyota your future service prices have been agreed in advance and guaranteed against any increase in prices for the duration of plan.

Serviceplan can cover the costs for the following scheduled service items. Oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter (if applicable), cabin filter, brake fluid and spark plugs (if applicable), also associated labour & VAT at plan inception.

If I remember correctly from your other threads you will be using the car as a taxi or PSV. You need to make sure these service plans include taxis/PSVs as they would need alot more frequent servicing than a privately owned car due to the higher amount of use they get.

Mean you have to use genuine parts or your warranty is void , thus you have to go to main dealer ?

Don't have to go to a main dealer to use genuine parts at all. Anyone can buy parts from a dealer, once they're fitted correctly they will cover your warranty.

Once they are using genuine parts the 2 year warranty stands, additional years warranty over this will be at the discretion of the manufacturer whether they wish to honour them or not, legally they don't have to.
