Changing my PVC window handles

My son is now able to open windows and i'm getting anxious that my upstairs windows don't have any locks on them, they are just metal handles on pvc.

Does anyone know if these are difficult to replace with lockable ones? Should I just get a Window Restrictor and install that onto the window frame?

    Thanks in advance.

Locks on upstairs bedroom windows are against building regs ( fire escape )
    Get window restrictors fitted instead

There's a crowd up in Coolock that do a nylon cord restrictor.Does the job, and its cheap and easy to fit
