    Small bit odd.
I work in a large multinational company and all their first aid kits are locked .
The way it works is the first trained first aiders have access to them.
The basics like plasters and antiseptic wipes are in an unlocked box beside it.

I have one hanging on a bracket on a north facing shed wall for that reason under a first aid sign.

Having it locked in a shed is no good to anyone, God forbid there was an accident.
Bad luck to the person who goes to steal it. Another one to watch out for is dates. Plasters and bandages have a shelf life believe it or not. Make sure all is in date.

I have it tied to the inside of the shed door, no lock on the door, we were told not to have it at the house

Small one in each tractor plasters bandages and the likes beside fire extinguisher.
Main ones in workshop and parlour beside medicine cabinet. Real one at house but that is manned by the boss
Cost was around 200 euro a few yrs ago and the boss refills them every month where needed

Simple thing for any farm to have at hand, even a basic one.
Work supplied me with one to have in the jeep too, good one with eye wash and stuff.
Funny, guy I used to work for in engineering fabrication has none, not in workshop nor in vans.
