Now that I bought a wii u, when it arrives, I'll be transferring over all the data on it. Then I'll have no need for the wii anymore, what should I do with it? Doesn't seem worth it to sell it in cex, they offer only 9 euro for it.

    Hack it and donate it.

Or be like me and hack and keep it :)

on the subject of transferring, hacking and keeping it.... aren't you better to hack it, back up the NAND, then transfer it, then flash the old NAND back on, then keep it? (As an all in one NES, SNES, N64, GC and Wii Nintendo Way-Back machine that also plays a bunch of stuff?) I haven't gotten around to it yet but I'm labouring under the impression that putting the old NAND back on will give me access to my shop account on both my physical and vWii, and save me having to reconfigure my settings and Miis and saves etc. If I'm wrong, please correct me!

If you can't find anything for the wii to do for you, 9 euro is more than that. Just saying.

I would strongly second this. If that's not handy, I'm sure the St Vincent de Paul could find a deserving family with a couple of children.
