Which is a best shower for a house with low water pressure coming in. I think it is fed from attic tank. What is the proper name and can anyone suggest a shower and about how much to buy and have fitted. the shower will be upstairs. Will it have to be wired from downstairs? will wires be outside of inside wall?

electric i suppose but fed from above. does that need a pumped electric shower?. the main pressure is very low and would not work

A pumped electric shower would be fed from the attic tank. Hav e a look at www.tritonshowers.ie and get a rough price from the likes of Woodies DIY.

It uses a lot of power, but won't be that expensive to run because it only uses power while the water is flowing, so no wastage or leftover water in the immersion that you've paid to heat up and don't use. Because it uses a lot of power, it has to have its own dedicated wiring from the main fuseboard in the house.

Any registered electrician could do this for you. In terms of running the wiring, it can be pulled through behind the plasterboard, into the attic space, and back down to the shower location.

This would probably cost a few hundred for a neat job, pure guess on my part, and would depend on your house.

the 'ordinary' tank or a special one. the fuseboard is on a real wall not plasterboard so wires have to run up from that?

I actually have this one http://www.tritonshowers.ie/triton-for-the-homeowner/triton-products/electric-showers/t80xr-electric-shower.aspx but doubt it would work here. This works from the mains doesn't it? is there anyway to measure or find out pressure coming into house and pressure this shower needs?

Can anything be added to improve pressure? Thanks

Mains fed showers are not suitable for most of Ireland.
A plumber or shower installation company can test the water pressure but this will only tell you what the pressure is at that moment in time. 10 minutes later if your neighbours are running the kitchen tap the pressure will drop. Some people can only use their mains fed shower between midnight & 7am. The pressure is too low the rest of the time.
You really need something like a triton t90z pumped electric shower. This is a tank fed shower. Because of the pump the pressure is constant. I can't speak for the rest of the country but in Dublin you can get a shower installation company with a plumber & electrician to install this for €600 supplied & fitted Inc vat. You need a cert from whoever works on the fuseboad.
