The mother of murdered Daniel Pelka has died in prison on the eve of what would have been her son’s eighth birthday.


Luczak and her partner Mariusz Krezolek, both originally from Poland, were convicted of murder and sentenced to at least 30 years in jail in August 2013 after blaming each other for the head injury which ultimately caused Daniel’s death.

During his final months, he was denied food, forced to perform punishment exercises, confined in a locked box room, poisoned with salt, and subjected to water torture.

I wonder how the concept of Karma ever evolved or was taken seriously when it so evidently does not exist. Wishful thinking I suppose and our own need to imagine justice exists somewhere.

Death was too good for the vile evil animal, a slow agonising prolonged and tortuous death would have been more appropriate for that bitch. Hopefully her boyfriend will suffer beyond comprehension for his part in the poor wee fellas death. What a fcuking evil bastard!

The saddest part is he probably seemed happy enough because knew nothing better,never experienced love or a normal caring parent or the absence of abuse. Children that age just adapt to the circumstance they're thrust into, everything in them is set to thrive and they'll be "happy" in the most difficult of conditions if they know only hardship.

It makes me sick to think that we breathe the same air as these vile and evil child killing sickos. To think what that poor baby suffered at the hands of the person who should have protected and loved him. It's my worst nightmare that any harm should ever come to my child. I could not imagine how any woman could do that to her own little boy.

Pretty straightforward why really. I don't agree with it either but it is just words. I'd be more concerned by what happened to this boy.

I was reading that article, hoping that as is not uncommon with articles posted to a web forum, something had been exaggerated or misrepresented or at the least there might be some sort of -explanation- for such awful crimes against a defenceless small child. Weirdly, it was that last line that really did it for me. It seems like a detail or afterthought compared to the rest, but there's something just so callous and premeditated about it, giving the impression to the child that all the adults in his life that may have noticed something wrong were all ranged against him. Just a far-ranging piece of spite in the few hours each day when he wasn't under their direct control.

It's mind-boggling that such cruelty can exist, particularly to your own child, and someone that young. As horrifying and evil as sexual crimes against children are, at least there is a "reason", however twisted and awful. This... just seemed to be cruelty for the sake of cruelty.

Poor child.
