    Folks one of my friend is about to get a job offer....to reach his expected salary he has been promised joining bonus...but will this be mentioned in his offer letter ?

    Yes. If it's not mentioned, it's not real.

    Yes the offer letter/contract should detail it all out

    Did they mention fixed bonusses in the interview/offer?
