    Hi,

I was hoping to go to Portofino for a week in September but i can't seem to find any airline that flys to Genoa (closest airport).

Has anyone ever been there, and if so, how did you get there? Thank you.

Just check the other Italian airports nearby - Pisa/Milan/Milan Bergamo and then use www.bahn.de for train transport or would you be hiring a car? Bologna is another option and even Nice might make sense.

Thanks for your reply. Flying to Milan might be an option too, as it seems to be only 2 hours by train.

we flew into milan and rented a car, wasn't too bad but heads up that when you see a sign for a turn off you're looking for then the turn off will be nearly immediately on you! make sure you can park too in your accommodation as parking is very tight (we stayed in the town just before portofino). taxis are extortionate around there too

Genoa airport has direct flight connection to London (Ryanair and British Airways)
