Last Minute/Cancellation Holidays

Just wondering if any of you have come across a good site for late holiday bookings. I'm trying to persuade the other half to go for a week as it'll be our last before we become parents & the only way he'll relent is if I find a cheap holiday.

I've looked on a couple of the Google options but there don't seem to be any decent offers. We're not planning on going until mid August...IF I can find something reasonable. ;)

Last Minute's the obvious one, I suppose. No personal experience of it myself.

Had a look earlier & prices seem the same as booking normally. I'm thinking perhaps going through a travel agent might be a better option for getting something closer to the date...

What are you interested in - sun, outdoors, activities?

If you are able to navigate the website correctly, I have found some amazing deals on Budget Travel, worth a look. Falcon also do last minute deals, but they are exceptionally terrible this year, a travel agent explained to me that this year holidays are selling alot faster and they are doing alot better than they have previous years, she said that she hasn't been so buzy since the Celtic tiger.

Another strategy is have a look at flights on Aer Lingus and Ryanair, if you find a cheap one try booking them dates with Budget/Low Cost holidays or simply book a hotel separately. To get a good deal at this time of year requires patience and time, but more importantly don't delay it, if you find a good deal, don't wait a week as it will most likely have increased in price.
