Pedals/Cranks/Front chainrings on MTB feel Loose...

    This is hard to describe but there seems to be a lot of play in the bottom bracket of my MTB. Ive never had bottom bracket trouble so not sure if this is it but I can wiggle the front chainrings and the cranks left and right a good bit to the point where its getting very noticeable when cycling. The whole thing wobbles like one fixed piece if you know what I mean aswell, its definitely not like the cranks are loose, they seem fixed to the chainrings and the whole thing wobbles as one unit.

    What do I even begin to tighten here or can it be tightened? I looked at it with a torch last night but I couldn't really see what was the problem, it was just loose for no reason...

    Quite likely that you need a new bottom bracket!

    You might be able to take it apart, regrease it and tighten it up but realistically and for convenience (as well as the fact its potentially too late), I would go for a new one. Good chance if you keep going on it as is you will wear down where the cranks attach and then have a similar issue but with cranks that need replacing.
