Mi-Wadi?

Hi, I always have a pint glass of orange Mi-wadi or the Aldi equivilant on the go, I dont add a lot to the water though maybe 1/10 of the pint glass then topped up with water, I do drink a lot of these though especially when Im working or gaming at the pc.

Is there anything bad I might have missed doing this? I know it has a bit of added sweeteners but its not like Im knocking back cans of diet coke here, this is heavily diluted, anyone got any thoughts on whether this is okay or if I should look for alternatives?

If it helps you drink more water then I really wouldn't worry about it, especially because you don't use much of it apparently compared to some people who need to do almost half and half of that with their water.

A healthy alternative if you don’t enjoy the taste of water would be adding a slice of lemon, orange, lime etc..

Not bad as such but worth bearing in mind that at a diltution of 1/10 it's about 6g of sugar in a pint.

    Is that a lot?

Not really unless you're having a batter of them and even then it depends how much sugar is in the rest of your diet.

But in and of itself, it's not a problem.

Used to drink blackcurrant on nights out if I wasn't drinking. Hated when they made it half and half made it undrinkable.

Try the no added sugar one.

There is another brand - think it might be robinsons - that do a no added sugar range and sweetened with stevia. The apple and black current is really good. Another tip is to fill the glass with water first and then add a splash . Dunno why this tastes better than the other way round but it seems to, with an even smaller concentration of cordial.

Edit - No, its Mi-Wadi, and its Apple Berry.

The apple berry no sugar one is really nice. I have a pint glass a day of it, when I get sick of just water

Have you tried water first then cordial, or am I bonkers in thinking there's a difference ...?

It's a study of mice and I would think early day but I wouldn't be going too heavy with it.

I drink a lot of water and I get sick of it in the evening, so I found Mi-Wadi Pear flavour. My God, it's delicious.
    Try it, OP!

There's a variety of flavours sweetened with stevia if you're worried about the nasties in aspartame.

I use miwadi all the time .sometimes the taste off the water is torrible and I don't be near a shop to buy bottled water. In fairness if a bit of miwadi was all that was wrong with my diet I'd be delighted.

A pint of Mi-Wadi is the perfect accompaniment to a large share bag of meanies.

Aldi have some lovely 'No Sugar' added ones.....I know they have Aspartane instead of sugar, but I couldn't believe the amount of sugar that was in the regular ones.

aspartame is evil stuff by most accounts alot worse than sugar.

When I drink those things I just put a drop of the stuff in it like 1/2 a cap full. Just enough to take the taste of the water away. Any more and I'd find it sickly and sticky.

I'm a half-and-half drinker. I down blackcurrant miwadi by the new time, I have about 6 pints of it a day. I always thought it was sugar free?

It's 12.5g of sugar per 100ml. If half of your 6 pints is MiWadi, then you're getting in excess of 200g off sugar from MiWadi.

Me too. Just a hint to flavour the water, thats all it takes.

Many are "no added sugar" these days, actually hard to get regular ones sometimes. But there will be natural sugars from the fruit juice, just no added sucrose or glucose.
