    Hi all,
Currently working fullish time (35-39 hours a week) 5 days basically. Come September I've been told my hours will be reduced to weekends because of students that work for them returning to college here. As I will have the week off I was thinking about attending the access course in nuig for something to do and to hopefully gain access the following year. Access courses do not qualify for susi so do you think I will be able to get my X's and O's and attend the course? Any info is really helpful. Thanks

Hi there, I've done the access course in St. Angela's College, Sligo. I know that this course has no fees if you pass the disadvantage criteria for the application and information given. As it is a part-time course, you can avail of the dole also as my friend has done so. But I was working enough hours and doing the course that I could not avail of the dole. I hope this is a little helpful!

I'm doing the evening science one in nuig this year and it does not affect my dole payment in any way

I did an access course in TCD and got BTEA, there was no fee for the course if you were on the dole a certain number of weeks
