Engine Fan

    Twice in the last couple of days the engine fan has come on when I have turned off the car,is this ok or is it a sign that something is wrong,btw its a 10 mondeo diesel

    Pret sure your car does this if its in the middle of a DPF regen and you turn the car off.

    Don't know much about diesel engines,so this is normal and nothing to worry about?..thanks for quick reply Colm

    As far as I know this is nothing to worry about.
    The car will regen the DPF at another time and will give you plenty warning if it's become an issue.

    Dont be overworried.I have a 13 octavia and it is fairly common to happen.The regeneration is interrupted when car is stopped and fan stays on for 5- 8 mins approx.I find it ok now but first couple of times i was worried.Usually more frequent when i havent bought it for a good blast on motorway-this is the best way to have it regenerated
