Hey guys, I'm sure the answer is nope but any recommendations on trails for mountain bike riding on the Northside?

I realise I'm not looking for mountains this side of the liffey but more trails

    Nope! None... !

Only thing even remotely close is around Howth head, but you'd want to know where you are going and be comfortable cycling beside a huge cliff drop off... and also go when's it's very very quiet as the cliff tracks have always got people walking.

So far as I know cycling is prohibited on the cliff trails on Howth.

Bit far away but Townley Hall might be worth a spin, about 30 minute drive from Ashbourne.

to be fair, north county dublin is possibly the flattest and unforested part of Ireland !

How about the trails on Bull Island? Also, in nearby Saint Anne's Park there is a purpose built course (MTB?, BMX?) in the woodland opposite the Causeway Road.

There is plenty of room between the trail and the side where the slope is. I've cycled there plenty of times without incident.

Good for you, though is definitely not a track for the inexperienced cyclist..

Certainly one can cycle there without incident, but it ain't the safest place if you have a wobble.
