Battery fault. New battery needed?

Returned home the other week from an overnight and found there had been a power cut and the alarm panel was showing a battery fault. I presume the alarm had been running on battery power while the mains was off but don't know how long for.
The battery fault is still showing on the panel although the alarm is working fine otherwise.

    It's a HKC Securewatch alarm. Battery is 12v 3.2A.

Do I need to clear this fault in the engineer menu?
Should the battery have recharged once the mains was back on? If so, I guess it would have done so by now.
Do I need a new battery?

Any recommendations on where to pick up a battery? Preferably around Lucan/Leixlip/Celbridge.

    Many thanks!

You will pick up a new battery in any of the suppliers on the list here

REW in Ballymount would be pretty close to you. Or IGT .
Ideally go for a 7 amp battery like this one.It will last longer in the event of a power cut.
