Not really my usual price in a big field handicap but one I really like tomorrow is Famous Kid (2.20 York) who ran a real eye catching race at Royal Ascot when getting no luck in running at all. Step up in trip a positive tomorrow and makes obvious appeal off the same mark. He's by far and away the most likely winner IMO and the standout 6/1 with Ladbrokes is worth taking while it's available.

Is it just me or is Sole Power starting to look like real value at 16s. 18s on the machine even. i know his record over 6 is stink but he is miles better than a lot of these even on this years form. Views Please.

I fancy another Godolphin horse in the 1st at Newmarket in Good Contact. I think his reappearance can be forgiven after a long absence, not ideal trip and Chester isn't every horses cup of tea. He has the form over this trip to be bang there and looks worth a few to win at 10-1

Muthmir seems to be written off in the July cup but ill have a punt as I still believe the horse is quality, maybe not the same league as the favourite but you never know with these group level sprints. Would love to see Sole Power shake this 6f hoodoo aswell, unlikely as it seems.

Price is about right all things considered IMO, as you say record over 6f is shocking and hard to see why that is likely to change now he's an 8yo.

Realistically I think the top two in the market are likely to be too good for the rest and although they are priced accordingly it's very hard to find anything to go against them with. G Force could be the joker in the pack but is real leap of faith material given the way he's run this season.

Got a shout for firmdecisions 3:10 newmarket tomorrow. Worth a few quid ew.

    Have done 3 for tomorrow.

14 10 Ascot Kingsgate Choice. Unlucky not to win the last day when second off two pounds lower has won off 100 and 104 and over C and D. Off 100 tomorrow and when I saw this 1 entered yesterday I did not expect to be getting 20/1 V generous in my view. 2 pts win.

15 25 York. Educate 20/1. Ran poorly the last day but should get the strong pace it requires tomorrow. Again I think the 20s available is decent and think he is more than capable of winning a race like this off this mark. 1 pt win

20 15 Hamilton. Jordurra C and D winner and has won off marks of 69 to 63. off 54 tomorrow and I think the 16/1 available is decent value. 1.5 pt win

If sole power gets any bigger in the betting I will be having a bet and will keep an eye on the W/O markets as well

Going through the rest of the card at York and cannot fathom how Stepper Point can be 10/1. He has form in the top G1 sprints and would have finished much closer if he hadn't been nearly put over the rails LTO. Presence of other front runners is a concern but 10/1 is just plain silly IMO and he should be half that.

Someone was going to so I said i would get in there first. Have backed the horse plenty of times but I really think the 20s is value

    One Word More 16-1 3.10
Has run 3 good races out of 4 over this trip this year.
With 4 places I'm liking its chances to at least place.

    it's potentially great ew bet.

Best bet of the day for me is Castilo Del Diablo in the last at Newmarket. This one went very close last time out in a race that was slightly stronger than this one. Only question for me is whether 12f is the ideal trip for this one. 8/1 with a rake of bookies.

Non runner, same case can be made for Kingsgate Native? Currently 14.5 on BF.

Added Sole power 1 pt at 20s. That price is ridiculous. Have done a yankee as well for the miricle on the 4.

Just backed Brazen Beau with Paddy Power enhanced to 10/3, will be tough giving 6 pounds to Muhaarar but with a proper jockey on top I'm on BB.

0/10 at 6f though, still decent each way value but can't see him winning.

365 doing same (only 26 max tho, for anyone thinking of laying at 3.6)

    wish they were enhancing muhaarar

    Justice Day 14-1 2.55
Has run decent in defeat in some big races this year, it's best run 4 back when
staying on to push Golddream to the line. It finished ahead of Kingsgate Native and Stepper Pint that day. I think this race is slightly easier than what it has faced recently and at 14-1 I think it has a good place chance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

None I'd go balls deep in but did chance two. Eshtiaal was backed in the apprentice Derby as if defeat wasn't an option, and fared better than the bare result. Elliott sends him to York for the 2 miler, there msy be stamina doubts but at 9/1 was worth the risk.

Joe Packet is hard to win with but often runs well at Salisbury and is seriously well handicapped. He ran well here last time having been drawn worst of all and is well drawn today. Backed it at 10/1 last night but there'll be a rule 4

I'm nearly sure this is the first time I backed him, I was tempted to last time but didn't because of the draw, might be someone who backed it

I had it in my head it was one of yours. My bad. I always look up the ones you recommend in handicaps - you've a good record (understatement of the day :pac:)
