If you check the Ali express website or app you'll see tomorrows deal. This looks like a fantastic phone for the price of just over a hundred euros. Snapdragon 410 processor and 5 inch 720p display, 13 megapixal rear and 5 megapixal front camera. Also has 2gb ram and 4g support. I really can't see a negative apart from the 8gb internal memory, but for the price! Also believe this has lollipop update out which makes sense as the snapdragon processor supports 64bit. Negatives anyone? Sorry if I missed anything or left anything out!

You'll have to add on customs and VAT etc, which could add 25 euro, maybe more to that price. And Aliexpress could take a long time to arrive. And on top of all that be wary of the sellers, there's a lot of fake lenovo phones going about from what I understand.

There is no feedback at all from the seller. Probably not a good sign. Was very close to snapping one up as my S4 battery life is gone to the dogs.

Obviously you know this is legit now, however if you weren't sure also bear in mind that Ali express are advertising this on their main page as a daily deal which I don't think they would do if it was fake.

I bought the Umi Hammer for a friend a few weeks ago which cost 139 euro, it was delivered hassle free like a week later with no custom charges.

There's no guarantee that you won't get stung. You're better off doing your sums and deciding yourself if the price with the tax is still worth it. If it is, then happy days.

Was gonna buy, but no gorilla glass is a huge downside

Also of less importance, buttons are not backlit

What would be the extra with tax on that price?

Its dual sim I read, but is one a microsim and the other standard?

True but a small case and tempered glass protector sorts that out, I'd say you could get one from Ali express for a couple of euro. Once again, look at the price for such a decent spec phone.

    One micro and one nano

I'm kinda tempted by this thing myself :)

Xiaomi Redmi 2, 2gb version seems like a better deal at €129 delivered on Aliexpress to me:

    4.7 inch 720p Display 312 ppi
    Gorilla Glass 2
    16 GB, 2 GB RAM
    Snapdragon 410 Quad core 1.2Ghz
    8 MP rear camera
    2 MP front camera

For the Gorilla Glass alone its worth the extra €19. If the Lenovo falls there is good chance the screen will break without any protection, and no need to buy screen protectors

Saw this offer too.. and just wondering Is there any issue with compatibility with Irish networks? bands etc?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 74 ✭✭PapaBooje

Almost pulled the trigger, than read more reviews and realised everything is good about this phone (including good camera) except for what's crucial - the battery life. People charge it twice a day. I definitely don't fancy that.

Card, the payment is refundable up to 60 days from date of purchase if goods don't arrive, or if not as described by the seller.
Just have a look at ali expres' own terms

Aliexpress has its own payment system, they hold your money until
    You tell them you're happy.

Anyone else have issues tracking this purchase? I received a DHL tracking number from seller but when I enter it in DHL web site I get:

xxxxxxxxx(Not found): No result found for your DHL query. Please try again.

    Mine hasn't even shipped yet.

Heh, just received this from the seller when I queried it:
    Dear
    Sorry for replying you late.
    Please don’t worry.
Your parcel has been sent out and our shipping company is processing it now.
After they process well, they will give DHL directly and then you'll find tracking information online.
    Hope you can understand
    Best Regards
    Sarah-Eternal Team

    Looks well dodgy?

Ethernal team are one of the biggest sellers on aliexpress. I think you're fine, most if not all sellers don't actually have any stock, they all use resellers.

Somebody is taking their sweet Chinese time.

Paid for on 9th July, supposedly shipped on 15th July, got shipping number, then got new shipping number, but even though tracking site "en.4px.com" (the only site that did recognise tracking number ) there was no location given until today

    and

    .....................the

    location is ......................

Hong Kong.................still a long way from Kerry

I went through a phase of ordering a good amount of stuff (jerseys and such) through Aliexpress, and all of this pretty typical I've found. Even from big sellers. I received counterfit/dodgey goods, even from sellers that were huge and well known to be *good*. I just wouldn't bother with the place these days to be honest.

Got mine yesterday. 41 days from order to delivery. Seems O.K. so far. Very tied down, runs Playstore, will root when I'm sure I want to keep it.

The one in this thread, Lenovo S60, from Eternal Team. Apart from shipping time, I went for cheapest shipping €1.60,. I asked for euro 2 pin connector, I got standard U.S. flat pin charger, 2 round pin Euro adapter and very neat GB/IE flat 3 pin adapter.

How does the dual sim work? Can you have 2 networks online at the same time or is one in standby? Can one be used for data plan and the other for making calls?

No idea, needs micro sim for 2G/3G slot, have one; AND nano sim for 2G slot , don't have any nano sim yet. Be a few days before I will have one.

Have mine bout 3 weeks now. I have to say that after owning high end smart phones the past few years this is just as good. Only slight let down is the cameras performance under certain conditions. All in all a great phone and a great bargain, cheers OP.

I would also love to root and custom ROM this baby but everything I find online seems to be BS. Does anyone know how to achieve this?

Might Help CLICK Here For KitKat you can use KingRoot mobile app to root lenovo s60-a, for Lolipop for now there is no answer

IMHO. Speakers are excellent quality, volume not too loud though.

yes, both networks can be online at the same time, you can receive calls and texts on either without doing anything. You can switch between SIMs for data plans, and when you make a call or text it pops up asking which SIM you'd like to use. It will remember to always use SIM1 to call/text person A and SIM2 to call person B if that's what you require.

So, yes one could be used exclusively for calls, and one for data.

Had the same issue. :( I took an unofficial, botch shortcut. I Bluetoothed my contacts from old phone to Lenovo. Not a permanent solution, but will do for a while.. Am not using the phone, might sell it, if not will look for proper solution.

That does not work. Customs have been wise to that for years.
