    anyone know if you can get a 2008 megane 1.5 dci with 6 speed gearbox or are all 5 speed

    You can get them in 6 speed in the UK anyway.

    The 80bhp are 5 speed, the 106 bhp are 6 speed. Ive a 2007 106 bhp but it was quite a bit more expensive so most of them are lower powered 5 speed. Big difference between the cars imo so look for a 6 speed if you can find one

    was told the newer model which come out in 2008 too only had it but not true it seems

    Yes, you could get the 6 speed gearbox with the 1.5 DCI, originally with 100bhp from launch in 2003.
