Stay on DA or get a job?

So I'm currently a recipient of DA, taking in the full amount each week. I'm just trying to explore my options. Would I be better off staying on DA or get a job? I do want to get some experience and have something to do but I also need the money so as a student, is it possible to earn more than E250 after taxes as a student, working part time during weekdays/ full time at weekends.

E250 a week is what I'm trying to achieve here as anything lower isn't worth my while if I stay with the DA.

Should add in that I also have the FTP as well and would be commuting a lot when I move to Dublin in September.
