    Hi,

Put in an offer on a house in Mid March and was accepted etc. We have mortgage approval sorted also.

Apparantly there is a delay with Deeds on property from people we are purchasing house from and have been told we have to be patient. Our own solicitor advised we should not be worried it will just take time, We sold our own house earlier in the year and we had no issues regarding the deeds of our own house so cant figure out what the delay could be

Anyone could advise is this the norm

This is quite a delay alright but I don't think that anybody here can help you very much.

If the seller's bank has lost the deeds, then perhaps the seller's solicitor can reconstitute the title and supporting documentation but you don't have control over the seller's solicitor. In any event, it isn't clear why there is a delay with the deeds.

You can ask your solicitor for advice or ask him to contact the seller's solicitor. Alternatively, you could ask the auctioneer to put some pressure on the seller's solicitor.
