Average Mileage

    Hey Im loooking at a few cars but am not sure about the mileage. Whats the easiest way to know if the mileage is high compared to the year eg 175 000 km for a 02 car any tips will mean the worrrrld

    The average would be between 15k- 20k miles per year.

    15-20k km is more like it, I would think 15-20k miles is above average,

    Agreed, I thought average was 10k Miles/year approximately

    Don't rely on mileage as a way to determine if a car is good or not. There are low mileage piles of crap out there too. You'll need to look at the service history and see what's been done. If you don't know much about cars, you should get any potential cars checked by a mechanic before purchase.

    Cars do not suddenly implode when they reach a mileage milestone. Car parts can wear out just as quickly from how the car was driven as well as how far it was driven. Condition and service history is important especially on older cars which will naturally have a fair share of owners and driving done.
