    Hi,

I've been reading up on investing for a while now and am looking to buy a vanguard etf domiciled in the U.S. but the process of declaring tax on dividends is all new to me so I'm a little hesitant, I'm sure I wouldn't be if it was made a little clearer.

Would anyone have a link to a guide on what it is I need to do or care to lay it out here?

There is a very detailed blog on this topic on askaboutmoney.com which has every nook and cranny of this topic for the irish investor looked at. look under the forum investments or google it with ask about money in the subject.

Which side of the Atlantic are you talking about when it comes to taxes?

If US side, TurboTax would be a fine tool for doing all of your investment taxes. Not too pricey and user friendly.
