Yep it was an email at 18:11 today for me. Worded in such a way that makes you think you didn't get it at first. That was an emotional Rollercoaster

Out of curiosity, of you 3 guys who got the invite to the training centre in Inchicofe next week, how long ago did you guys finish stage 2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 589 ✭✭✭CiboC

I did the first test on Monday, and the other two on Tuesday morning so pretty close to the deadline!

Did you all choose Dublin as depot of choice?

I started the two timed tests at 11pm on the Tuesday, 60 minutes before the deadline!!!

I got the 'congratulations' email too! (at 18.13)

I suspect they have a format for alerting candidates. Id imagine chronological order, either based on last appli3d working backwards, or first applied working forward.

Also possible that they are contacting people based on alphabetical order

The one evening I’m getting spammed with marketing emails and getting exited everytime my phone pings to tell me lol. Hopefully tomorrow they will come email more of us

I did the first test on the 3rd of Jan, and I split the second round of tests between Sunday and Monday just gone.

Sorry, that's not very clear. I applied on 2nd January, I meant the 3 tests in the second round in the post above...

It’s surprising they have come back to people already, I would have thought it would have been atleast couple of weeks before anyone heard anything.

I agree. There is however no real reason to delay it for weeks. A computer will have all these recorded and all nice an pretty within seconds. Import them into an email system and then send them out. Literally 5 mins work for a computer system.

I think where it gets delayed is where some manual task that a human has to do, for example, ESB took a while to get back to me. I think they took the top results and then compared them to the application and the 'why you want this job' piece.

Well done guys and gals. I'd presume they're contacting the highest scorers first. Well done to you all.

I got an e-mail for invitation to the test centre, I too read it and thought it was a rejection lol

Well done to those who got it and to those still waiting, hopefully you get good news. With so many applicants I would say it will take few weeks to get back to everyone.

The 'tests' are not scored as numbers, they will offer an overall profile of certain candidates exhibiting certain characteristics and knowledge

Congrats guys, very jealous also. Beginning to fear the worst now!

Out of interest, did they indicate how long you would be needed in the training centre next week? It would be a problem i'd love to have but i'd need to take time off my current job.

Approx 2 hours for the test

Is the test centre just exams or is there a structured interview?

I'm jealous too but well done guys best of luck in the next stage

Starting to doubt myself, when you all completed the tests, did yee have to press submit or anything? When I done each test it move down to a section that said something like already completed. When I finished all 3 tests they were in that section so I logged out, doubting myself now thinking if there was some sort of submit button.

No that’s perfect, just play the waiting game now. Best of luck.

Just reading the email from the Assessment Team sent after the Stage 1 test...

'it may take a number of weeks for us to get back to you. We ask that you await a response from OPC and to be patient with us'.

So hopefully there's still hope. I'm starting to think that maybe they plan on hiring a set number for each location in each of the upcoming four years, and candidates who've done well so far are called to the next stage next week. In this scenario, we might not hear anything further until next week's assessments have been completed and analysed. Then again, I'm purely guessing. Will need to distract myself somehow if I'm to stay sane during the waiting game!
