fis refused!?

Hi I was wondering could anyone help me out. im back to work 3 weeks after being out on maternity leave and applied for fis, got a letter today stating I was refused it as I am not doing more then 19 hours which I am.

I sent off my p60 for last year but think my wages were a bit low as I was out sick a lot with my pregnancy.. What do I do now? my wages are pretty low as im just over min wages doing 19 hours? I cant support myself and my little boy on this aswell as paying my bills etc..

As MP22 advised appeal the decision. If you are parenting alone you can also apply for OFP. http://www.welfare.ie/en/pages/278_one-parent-family-payment.aspx

Thanks guys ill emails them 2moro and see what they say.. Do ye know if I win my appeal will I still be back dated from the day I applied because im in a bit of debt over my wages being so low war relaying on that to pay it off :-/

If you win your appeal any payment will be back dated to the date you first applied for FIS

Yes i won the appeal, i sent in 3 payslips an was rewarded and backdated..
