How to switch between Humax and Sky box?

I have a Sky dish and a Humax freesat box connected via 2 cables.

I was thinking of getting Setanta sports this season using a non-sub Sky box.

Is there any way I can manually switch between these 2 boxes working off the same TV? Maybe using extra cables or a connector/divider? (Without messing about unplugging cables each time or getting a 2nd LNB on the dish.)

    Cheers.

If it's an actual Sky dish, with 2 feeds already coming from it, it will have at least a quad LNB. (No 2 output LNBs for Sky dishes.)

Can you run a 3rd cable from dish to Sky box?

    That's it Thurston.

But dish is on chimney so would need to get someone in for that job.

Was hoping for a manual switch/connector at back of TV - taking cables from the Humax and Sky as input and connecting to the 2 existing dish cables as output.

Not sure if that is possible?

1: A quick solution is to use one feed from the humax for your sky box (you will not be able to record one channel while watching another unless its on the same transponder though and this would apply to both receivers.)

2: If you only use one receiver at a time, a cheap way to toggle the feeds between both receivers without unscrewing/disconnecting cables is a "manual satellite switch".
They are mainly used for switching between dishes using a single feed but will work in the opposite way also (switching between receivers using a single dish)
To have full recording functionality , you would need two switches, one for each dish feed ,if recordings work on setanta subscription, if not, only one switch will suffice (which is basically the same as option 1)
You can look at a video guide for the switch and the stacker on freetv.ie

If I was doing it myself, I'd just try a splitter like this one on 1 of the feeds. Make sure it's same specs: correct frequency range, & only passes power from outputs to input.

Setanta is currently on a high band, horizontal pol. transponder, so won't be disturbed by conflicting LNB switching signals from the Humax: the Humax tuner concerned will only have high band, horizontal TPs available. You'll probably need to power the Sky box off completely to make full use of the Humax.

Thanks all for the replies. When I get a chance I'II take a look at those options.

op i have that set up

i have a humax hdr 1010s in hdmi 1 with a single cable feed

sky hd box (non record with bt sub) in hdmi 2 with a single feed

I have this set up for the last two years ever and had no issue.

Tv has a saorview tuner so all angles covered

With a single feed, if you're recording something, the only other channels available for watching or 2nd recording, will be those on transponders of the same band & polarity as the 1st channel being recorded. Might suit the OP, but if they've got used to 2 feeds, maybe not.
