    Anyone ever dealt with 25 plus.ie ?
Car won't start so need to get the car towed to house where mechanic will look at it but they are saying we'll have to pay as they will only tow to a garage free of charge.
The house is closer than the garage and it's only a steering lock issue so mechanic can work on it there.
Any advice on how to avoid this charge ?

Perhaps get the mechanic to the car?

Give your address as the address of your garage. Or chat to the driver when he arrives. He doesn't work directly for the insurance company and probably won't give a polite shyte where you want to be dropped. Shorter trip the better, I'd imagine.

We did but they said it has to be a garage, my mechanic works from his garage attached to his house, they seem like they don't want to know and will phone back with a price

Would the mechanic have a contact of someone who could tow it cheaply for you over to him?

Let us know how you get on, will be interesting if they get it sorted for no charge.

My clio '03 model failed to start and Renault garage had it visiting 7 times at least, 2 new ign packs, new relays and every time their computer would give back 100% faults cleared but yet few days later same fault.... Pushed the dealer to explain this issue and their head mechanic says that maybe the ecu gone and it tricks their diagnostic to say car 100%....

Left garage and a small 'Local garage' fixed same.. Sure that's the crankshaft sensor fault !!! Got rid of car at next best chance but have a spare sensor as 2 ordered in error. Midlands based
