What major events /anniversaries will mark out new school near 2015/2016

I am looking to compile a list of major events that might be upcoming in the new school year, such as historical events, elections, sporting events, anniversaries, once in 100 years etc....... At moment I can only think of these Rugby World Cup 2015 Easter 1916 Rising Anniversary (100 years) Olympics 2016 Would appreciate…

I am looking to compile a list of major events that might be upcoming in the new school year, such as historical events, elections, sporting events, anniversaries, once in 100 years etc.......

At moment I can only think of these

Rugby World Cup 2015

Easter 1916 Rising Anniversary (100 years)

Olympics 2016

Would appreciate if anyone could add to list, anything that comes to mind! Thanks
