Hi I have just finished working as a temp worker in n.ireland but live in the Republic. I need to sign on, how are social welfare contributions worked out, do they just see the contributions made OR the number of weeks worked ?

You'd be better off asking this in the State Benefits section - your question isn't related to tax, nor is it handled by the tax office
