    If your on back to education allowance and your course finishs and you still can get work can u get jobseekers. How long do you hav to wait after your course ends before you can get jobseekers allowance.Will you be taken of bteo striaght away and hav to wait weeks before receiving dole. Will you be means tested again ?

    I went through this when I finished a course a while back. If you go to the dole a week or so before you finish and inform them in advance, it should be a smooth process, you shouldn't have your weekly payments stopped. If by chance you do have to wait, you can go to your local community welfare officer (Southern Health Board) and get payments off of them while you are waiting.

    If you are on BTEA prior to the course finishing a form is issued to participants that needs to be returned to their local sw office and there should be a smooth transition back on to JSA. If the form isnt returned then your claim will close.
