oil leakage in gear box

I have qashqai 2011 only driven 25000 km till now i took for service before nct test which is due shortly, they said there is oil leak in gear box may be secondary box or some thing like that will cost 600 euros to replace, any suggestions. they said it should pass nct as it not big but needs to change at some point. So…
