UPC Netflix Super HD

    Hi everyone.

Does UPC now do Super HD?

I have my panasonic st50b television connected directly to my horizon box (120MB), and running the netflix app. However I do not see 'SuperHD' on any of the titles. Just checked it there for Orange is the new black.

When I do a speed test on my laptop, when it is directly connected to the horizon box, I get 80/90 MB result. So it would seem that the bandwidth is not an issue.

However, when I load up panasonics web browser, and use testmy.me I get a mere 5.9 MB. No idea why this would be, unless the TV is somehow capping my bandwidth, or it's just something to do with the browser.

    Thank you for you help.

Super HD was unlocked to all ISP, so if you have the bandwidth you should get it.

The TV app was likely neverupdated to support it. Platforms like android and iOS get regular updates but unique hardware like TVs not so much.

    Ok great thanks a mill.

Will get onto Panasonic about there Netflix version. I do have the bandwidth, so it's either an issue with the TV not limiting the bandwidth, or the netflix version is too old.

    Thanks again.

Chromecast or Amazons TV stick will be your saving grace.

Good luck with Panasonic changing things, those of us with z81 tvs got no satisfaction from them

Yep, sorry to bubble burst but there is no hope of Panasonic doing anything to help.

It's not like complaining on twitter about McDonald's and ending up with a free burger.

Super HD is 1080 with a high bandwidth, so yes a 1080 TV is ideal.

I've never seen a Super HD tag in the Netflix android app, do you actually see one? I didn't think you did
