It could be 50% off and it would still be overpriced.

i defer to my above post..how is a pair of quality casual shoes overpriced at 30€. Dunnes stores would charge more than that sometimes!

Listen guys, you'll never convince the Penneys brigade that anything that costs more than the tat they sell in that dump is worth it :D! Just enjoy the superior quality and fit of what you buy ;).

Are the Polos always 5 for 150? What is the selection like up there? Might pay a visit soon.

What would you consider a suitable price for their products then?

And more importantly - where can you get it?

Is that actually true though? Or just some of the rubbish you hear spouted?

I mean they sell Polo's obviously. What colour or fit are they that they wouldn't have a chance of selling in any other shop?

I see they made €179,000 a week last year. They must have some f*#king sales people to shift that lot of stuff that wouldn't sell in any other shop.

A sort of magical shop is it?

Most people go to outlets for brands not style purchases. The majority of stuff in there wouldn't be seen in bt or any other stockist

    This is absolute tripe.

They sell normal colour polo t-shirts that are exactly the same as the ones in brown Thomas etc.

There are plenty of other items in there similar.

As there is in the Levis store, Superdry and lots more.

It's not all quad xl in awful colours.

I'll take my chances on getting a few sensibly coloured, well fitted polos.

You'll find there is a small minority of standard attire in their to lure the 'savers' in, if they offload the crap they front up around it, it offsets the discounts on the already massively marked up bread and butter gear

This shop is proof that people will buy anything once they think they are getting a bargain, mind boggling the people here thinking its a good shop!

    Sorry for the late reply.

The polos are not 5 for €150. Some polos cost €40 and with the 20% off at the moment you will get it for €32.

The last time I was there the polos were mixed price. So one polo was only €30 so I got it for €24. I wouldn't be making the trip unless there was an offer on e.g 20% off.

I got a navy hoodie a year ago up there. It was marked at €60 got it for €48.

The exaxt same hoodie in Brown Thomas in Cork: €135. So it is definitely worth the journey.

I would recommend that you go into the Kildare village website and sign up. Some times they have offers where you will get 20% off in every shop in the village. I think they do that offer two or three times a year. That is the offer I used when I went up in May.

    Hope this helps! :)

The business modeal for many branded clothing retailers very often includes discount outlet ranges specific for this channel, which consist of genuine 'style'/cut garments, but produced to lower cost, using cheaper materials etc. Not in any way shape or form 'knock-offs' they are the genine article, just parallel lines cheaper to produce, sell and buy for the punter. Incidentally, I don't really have a problem with that.

They then pad these out with the top notch stuff left over from previous seasons and/or out there sizes and colours from previous seasons.

They are usually not supposed to sell current top-notch lines by agreements they'd have in place with 'normal' retailers of their ranges within a given market.

Not sure if this outlet reflects this, but what I am personally certain of is that I have been gifted sweaters by family over the past 5 or so years; maybe 3-4 altogether, none of which made it past a few wash cycles without losing shape and/or pilling up.

So badly/quickly that they didn't even represent good value even at the low price they were bought for, tbh.

Buyer beware. Check the materials used and understand what you are getting for what you pay.
