Herb Street, right on the canal, does an unreal breakfast.

Herbstreet for breakfast - one of the best in Dublin in my opinion (a bit pricey though).
HQ and Ocean Bar for drinks - both were busy enough last night, but that may have been related to the lovely weather we had.

The Ocean Bar has been closed for around 2 years and is now a sea food restaurant.

    Herbstreet is great .

All the bars around Grand Canal are brutal. You're better off heading back towards town.

I live in the area. They're not really proper pubs.

Apologies, it's now called Mourne Seafood bar - it's been pretty busy outside every evening this week
