Thinking of buying new car. Ideas and advice needed?

I currently drive a Toyota Avensis and am thinking of upgrading and getting myself a new car😎.
Would anyone recommend a new car in same category type that might be worth looking at.
I liked the Acensis but it might be worth a change for approx same money/comfort etc.
Avensis seems to be getting overpriced and am thinking of looking at other makes to keep options open and to compare.
    Thanks in advance for advice.
    Thanks.

    Sorry,
Avensis was a 2.0 Diesel car. And I would want cruise control in particular.

What's your budget? What type of driving do you do and how long do you intend on keeping it?

Car in and around 30,000 in total trading in 3 year old. Would be keeping it for 3/4 years. Prefer new car. Would do 20+Km a year.
    Thanks,

I reckon Trade In prices & promo deals on New cars this year are not as competitive as last year - Sales are way up & dealers are not jumping over each other - they have easily reached their targets this year. So with their bonus in their pocket they are not going out of their way to give decent t/ins.

    If I was you - I'd wait till 2016.

I reckon Car sales may drop nxt year but with sales targets increased, on 2015 you'll get a better deal.

If u insist on buying this year, check out Ford - New Mondeo - Ford discount their cars more so than other manufacturers.

    Best of Luck.

May of the 2 litres in that class are above 30k. What might be worth looking at is a run out model of the current superb. They've added spec and it should have everything you're looking for.

The new Mazda 6 is worth considering OP.

This is more of a question than a recommendation, but are Hyundai or Kia worth considering?

Had an I40 for 3 years now traded to a Mondeo - i40 was a lovely car and very well specced for the price - great to drive. My only issue was that it comes in 2 models and that is it, basic or 'premium' no customization possible.

With a budget of €30k definitely take a look or a test drive, Kia Optima is a great looking car but slightly more cost

Optima is better speced than the i40 though and has the more powerful engine as standard.

Peugeot 508 only recently revamped. Opel Insignia maybe or just get another Avensis as it has just had a revamp. The interior is much nicer and better than it was and the car looks much better too so maybe the extra few euros whatever it is might be worth it also you will get your best trade in at a Toyota dealer as its a Toyota you are trading with them others might not give as good a deal.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

    Thanks all,
If I upped budget to 32/33.000 would it make a difference?
    Thanks.

For a shade under €34k could could buy a new Passat comfortline 2.0 150bhp. That's the one I'd go for and they are a "superb" looking car. Or save around 2k and buy 120bhp 1.6TDI. Not as fast though around 2 sec slower 0-100.

I wouldn't bother with the 1.6, the new 2 litre is far better, and will be easily as economical.
