Rental Query - moving out

    Hi there,

    Myself and my partner are renting an apartment in Dublin. The Landlord requested that we pay for two quarters for water, totalling approx. 125 Euro.

    We are then moving out of this apartment in July.

    My query is, is how do we avail of the Water Conservation Grant? Do I apply for the discount, or does the Landlord, and then he subsequently gives us the discount?

    Cheers!

    Very disappointed that this has not been answered, or even acknowledged.

    If you have registered with Irish Water by June 30th, you will qualify for the Water Conservation Grant issued by the Department of Social Protection for 2015. If you are moving house, we would advise that you call in order to update your account and to ensure all correspondence is sent accordingly.

    The Department of Social Protection will be communicating with householders in late August and September setting out the grant application and payment process for 2015. For more information on this, you can view the website www.watergrant.ie

    If you would like us to check if you are registered, please forward the following details via private message:

    - Name;
    - Address and
    - Contact number

    I hope you find this information helpful. If there is anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,
    Allanah

    It's factually and grammatically correct, what's the problem? It's not like it's the first time this information has come to light.
